Dr. Thukral primarily practices at Northwestern Medicine - CDH Hospital in Warrenville, IL. During her residency, she conducted research in the areas of breast, lung, and esophageal cancers, proton radiation therapy, and quality of life in head and neck cancer patients. She is trained in the use of 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), gamma knife radiosurgery, proton beam radiotherapy, and high dose rate brachytherapy. She treats a broad range of cancers including breast, lung, neurologic cancers, genitourinary cancers (e.g. prostate and testicular cancer), gastrointestinal cancers (esophageal, gastric, rectal, pancreas), and gynecologic malignancies. Dr. Thukral also has a strong interest in issues relating to quality of life and supportive care for patients and their families as they undergo radiation therapy.
Dr. Thukral enjoys spending her leisure time with her husband and her three children. She also enjoys playing tennis, attending yoga and barre classes, gourmet cooking, and travelling with her family.
