Dr. Mohiuddin is the medical director of and primarily practices at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and received several research awards. He has been an invited speaker at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), and the US Food and Drug Agency (FDA). He has lectured nationally on behalf of Varian Medical Systems.
He has experience with Varian IMRT (RapidArc), stereotactic modalities including CyberKnife and proton therapy. He has also published poetry about the cancer experience. Dr. Mohiuddin also has an interest in global oncology and traveled to Senegal in April 2013 as an expert to train doctors in high-dose rate (HDR) gynecological brachytherapy. The non-profit medical mission brought equipment that would allow definitive radiation treatment for the first time and a chance for a cervical cancer cure at the only radiation facility in Western Africa, Hospital Aristide Le Dantec, servicing a population of 20 million in five countries: Senegal, Mali, Gambia, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
Dr. Mohiuddin enjoys spending his spare time with his two children. He also enjoys creative writing, tennis and the outdoors.
