Dr. Winter primarily practices at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. He has expertise in the treatment of Head and Neck, Central Nervous System (CNS), Breast, Lung, Prostate, Sarcoma, Gastrointestinal (GI), and Gynecologic cancers. He has a special interest in the use of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) to treat primary lung, liver, and prostate cancers, benign brain tumors, and oligometastases to brain, spine, lung, and liver. He is experienced in the use of conformal 3-D therapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, and low and high dose rate brachytherapy. Dr. Winter has published numerous book chapters and his work has been presented at national conferences including the national meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Winter spends his leisure time with his wife and four children. He enjoys rock climbing, skiing, singing, and playing the acoustic guitar.
