Dr. Harris is passionate about patient-centered care. He takes pride in helping his patients navigate the complex healthcare landscape and works to ensure that his patients and their families have a complete understanding about their cancer care.
Dr. Harris graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan. He worked for a pharmaceutical and medical device company for several years before transitioning to a career in medicine. Dr. Harris completed his medical training at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. During medical school, he was an active member in the local, state, and national medical societies, where he served as the president of the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS)-Medical Student Section, as well as sitting on the MSMS Board of Directors.
Dr. Harris completed his radiation oncology residency at the Loyola University Medical Center. During his residency, Dr. Harris led research related to high-dose-rate brachytherapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy, proton beam radiation therapy, MRI guided radiation therapy, and radiopharmaceuticals. From his research, he has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and authored multiple book chapters. During his residency, he served as a member of the Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS) Board of Trustees, a delegate to the American Medical Association, and on the ASTRO Congressional Relations Subcommittee.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, exploring the Chicago culinary scene, and playing golf.
