Before joining Radiation Oncology Consultants, Dr. Parhar served as an attending physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, one of the nation’s leading cancer centers, for nearly a decade. She brings extensive experience in treating a wide range of cancers and is dedicated to delivering the highest quality, evidence-based care to every patient.

Dr. Parhar has a particular interest in minimizing treatment-related side effects while maximizing the effectiveness of radiation therapy. She has been a strong advocate for clinical trial participation and has contributed significantly to national clinical trial enrollment, providing patients access to innovative and cutting-edge cancer treatments.

She primarily practices at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital and has expertise in treating cancers throughout the body. Her approach combines advanced technology, personalized treatment planning, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each patient receives comprehensive, individualized care.

In addition to her medical training, Dr. Parhar earned a Master of Public Health from Columbia University. This additional training has strengthened her commitment to treating the whole person—not just the disease—and to understanding the broader factors that influence health and well-being.

Dr. Parhar believes that education and partnership are essential components of cancer care. She takes the time to help patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions and face cancer with confidence. She works closely with her colleagues and patients alike, fostering a team-based approach focused on achieving the best possible outcomes.

Inspired from a young age to pursue medicine, Dr. Parhar was drawn to radiation oncology because of its unique ability to provide highly precise, noninvasive treatment with meaningful and measurable results. She often describes herself to patients as a “virtual surgeon,” using advanced radiation techniques to target cancer while preserving healthy tissue.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Parhar enjoys spending time with her family and values the balance and perspective they bring to her life.
