Dr. Boyer primarily practices at Alexian Brothers and St. Alexius Medical Centers, where he has been a past recipient of the annual physician Legacy of Caring award. He is currently the Medical Director for Oncology Services, and the Chairman of the Cancer Committee at these hospitals. With greater than 25 years of experience, he has expertise in treating patients with brain tumors, prostate cancer, breast cancer, gynecologic cancers, lung cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, sarcoma tumors, and metastatic disease. He is experienced with 3-D conformal radiation therapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT), low and high dose rate brachytherapy, as well as intravascular and infusional radiation treatments.
He spends his leisure time with his college sweetheart and wife Judy, their four sons and their families, plays piano and enjoys SCUBA diving. When asked why he chose radiation oncology, he stated, “I cherish the close personal relationships that develop with patients and their families when we battle cancer as a team.”
