He has conducted research and clinical trials in the areas of breast cancer and gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, and presented at annual meetings such as the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Rhome specializes in several cancer types, including breast, GI, and lung. He is trained in the use of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for the liver, lung, and central nervous system, as well as radiopharmaceutical therapies such as Pluvicto. He has recently started programs at Illinois Masonic to use low dose radiation therapy to treat non-malignant diseases such as osteoarthritis, Dupuytren’s contracture, and plantar fasciitis.

He believes in an individualized, patient-centric approach to consultations and treatment planning, with shared decisions made with patients and multidisciplinary oncology teams. He loves to travel, listen to music, try new foods, and play with his dogs. If you would like to speak with Dr. Rhome about how radiation could be a part of your treatment plan, schedule a consultation to have an in-depth discussion.
