Dr. Boyer is currently the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at St Alexius Hospital. He primarily practices at Alexian Brothers Cancer Center and St. Alexius Cancer Center. He is board-certified in Radiation Oncology. After completing medical school at Ohio University and residency at Northwestern University, he joined Radiation Oncology Consultants, Ltd, where he has been in private practice since 1993. Dr. Boyer is also a certified Radiation Technologist. He has previously been Medical Director at Lutheran General Cancer Care Center and Alexian Brothers Cancer Center.

Dr. Boyer has expertise in treating brain tumors, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and gynecologic malignancies. He is experienced in the use of 3-D conformal radiation therapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery, and low and high dose rate brachytherapy. He is also knowledgeable in the care of head & neck, lung, and gastrointestinal malignancies. He is an active member of the Alexian Brothers Cancer Committee, St. Alexius Cancer Committee, and numerous professional organizations.

Dr. Boyer is a Regional President of the American Cancer Society. He spends his leisure time with his wife and four sons, plays piano, and enjoys SCUBA diving.
